Riley Webb Has Fastest Tie-Down Time of San Angelo Rodeo So Far

Through four performances at the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo, no one has been faster than rookie Riley Webb in the tie-down roping. The 18-year-old was 7.3 seconds Sunday night to take the lead in the Second Round.

Webb was riding a horse he recently bought from fellow calf roper Tyler Milligan.

“Today was a tough round,” Webb said. “I just had to go at him and do the best I could and it turned out good.”

Webb will likely have to settle for just the day money, however, as San Angelo is a two-head Long Round in the timed events and Webb missed his first calf.

Through four perfs, Tyler Milligan leads the Average with time of 15.7 seconds on two. Zack Jongbloed and J.D. McCuistion are second with 16.7 on two. A total of 12 athletes in each event advance to the Finals, which are April 16 on The Cowboy Channel and The Cowboy Channel+.
