No. 1 Bareback Rider Jess Pope Wins High Desert Stampede

After winning RodeoHouston less than a week ago, Jess Pope showed no signs of slowing down by winning the first performance at the High Desert Stampede by 6.5 points.

Pope, who has already won over $90,000 in 2022, was 87.5 points on Meat Sweats Thursday night in the one-head rodeo in Oregon.

“It’s pretty awesome (to be Jess Pope right now), this is what I wanted to do my whole life and I’m just out here chasing the dream,” he said.
