Matthew Smith has dominated the Southeastern Circuit in the bareback riding and the First Frontier Circuit. Friday, he was up in Oxford, Mississippi at the Lafayette County Rodeo.

“I made the Southeastern Circuit nine times and, me getting a little bit of age on me, I was like I want to see a different part of the country… We made that run up there and man it was, the scenery up there from everywhere else is just unbelievable,” Smith said on the First Frontier Circuit.

Smith has finished in the top 50 in the World multiple times and has thrived in the Circuit system over the years.

“It’s been great all these years, I mean I rodeoed a couple years pretty hard but I always decided to come back home and just really stay close to home,” said Smith.

The Alabama cowboy was out of the money in Oxford but you can watch for him in San Antonio this week.
