WPRA Breakaway Roping Standings Update: Kelsie Domer And Lari Dee Guy Shine In Fort Worth

Kelsie Domer has a significant lead in the WPRA Breakaway Standings. With $31,942 she is the No. 1 cowgirl in the World. This is largely in part to the equal money that came with winning the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo.

Domer was second in Round 1 of Fort Worth and third in Round 2 qualifying her for the Wild Card Round. She won the Wild Card and came back to the Finals knowing it was a clean slate. She roped her calf in 1.8 seconds to beat Taylor Engesser by just one tenth of a second and walk away the champion.

Lari Dee Guy is up next with $18,550 making her the No. 2 breakaway roper in the world. She got her 2022 season going in Waco, Texas where she racked up close to $5,000 at the Texas Circuit Finals.

Guy was the definition of consistent in Fort Worth roping both Round 1 and Round 2 calves in 1.9 seconds. She ended up third in her Semifinals, barely missing the call back for Finals.

LARI DEE GUY 1.9 FWSSR ROUND 2

JJ Hamton comes in as the No. 5 lady in the breakaway roping. She got her first regular season win in Waco, Texas when she finished third in the third go. At the Sandhills Stock Show and Rodeo she was third again with a 2.2 before she came to Fort Worth and won Bracket 1 Round 2 with a 1.9.

Shelby Boisjoli was another stand out competitor in Fort Worth. Although she wasn’t as fast as Lari Dee Guy, Boisjoli was just as consistent. With a set of 2.1’s getting her into the Semifinals, Boisjoli ended up roping in the Finals where she did it again in 2.1 seconds to finish fourth.
