Trevor Hale is an all-around cowboy and right now, he has an early lead in the 2022 Resistol Rookie Tie-Down Roping Standings.
Hale has had success in reining cow horse as well. He is the two-time reigning National High School Champion, and he credits part of his skills in the rodeo arena to be skilled in multiple events.
“Great horsemanship, that’s a big part of calf roping and any event you do in rodeo. So just to be able to do multiple events, have success in multiple events, is unbelievable,” Hale said.
Hale’s season got started at Cooks Rodeo Days in Lubbock, Texas where he finished third and his next check came from Tatum, Texas before he went on to qualify for the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo in December. When they National Western rolled around, Hale ended up second in the third round.
Hale’s horsepower is already something worth talking about.
“That’s a big part of my success, is always trying to find the right horse for the right situation and right now I’m blessed with a couple great calf horses, in my opinion, and I hope they stay sound and stay working through out the year,” Hale said.
You can catch Hale hitting the road this winter, he is headed to Tuscan, Red Bluff, Clovis and more.
