Saddle Bronc Rider Statler Wright Breaks Down His Rides at Colorado vs. The World Rodeo

Statler Wright is the youngest of the four Wright brothers and at 18, he is just getting his professional saddle bronc riding career started.

He is currently on his PRCA Permit and rode in the Colorado vs. The World Rodeo, where he was 87.5 points on The Cervi Brothers’ Enchanted Ernest and 85 on Black Rose from Frontier.

“I was actually super nervous about getting on Black Rose, I’d known she bucked Stetson (Wright) off in 2019 and I was terrified to get on her, but Stetson told me to take it like a practice horse and it would work out,” Statler said.

Statler also noted that it’s nice to be a member of the Wright family because there are not many broncs that are unfamiliar to them because of the family’s wealth of rodeo experience.

“Yeah most of the time, when we draw one, whether it comes from a little amateur rodeo here in Utah or now in the PRCA, usually they’ve probably been on the horse you got.”
