For the second time ever, the American Paint Horse Association is hosting its annual event, The Cowgirl Gathering.

This event is tailored around women and the spirit of the American Cowgirl. It is a weekend full of fun activities for all to take part in. It is a celebration hosted in the historic district of the Fort Worth Stockyards (Texas) that takes over Cowtown for the entire weekend.

To kick off the spectacular event, they will also be hosting a Cowtown Collection Western Art and Gear Show on Thursday. There will be live music, food and you can watch the talented artists and gear makers at work. Don Bell, Chance Hays and Emily McCartney are a few of the talented men and women that you could see. The proceeds from the Cowtown Collection will benefit the APHA Foundation and Wings of Hope.

Another event that you will want to attend is the Fashion Show that will take place on Mule Alley in the Stockyards. This event will start with a cocktail hour at 6:30 PM CT followed by a fashion show at 7:00 PM CT. The proceeds from this event will benefit the APHA Foundation as well as Horns For Hope.

Among the many activities taking place is the Kimes Ranch Essence Exchange. This will be held inside The Justin Boots Cowboy Channel Studios. There are 25 guest speakers lined up, all that have paved a part of the path that the current and future women of the western industry will walk. Included in this year’s list of ladies that will be taking the mic are Amanda Kimes, Billie Bray, Sarah Dawson, Hailey Kinsel, Susna n Maddox and Pam Minick. You can hear from these ladies and more over two days and you can get your tickets here.

It wouldn’t be a Cowtown take over without some events in the legendary Cowtown Coliseum. The Cowgirl Breakaway Roping and the Charlie One Horse All-Girl Team Roping will take place this Friday and Saturday inside Cowtown Coliseum starting at 10:00 AM ET and you can watch them live on The Cowboy Channel + App.
