Tie-down roper Ty Harris’ 8.6-second run on Thursday afternoon vaulted him into a tie for fifth in the average and second place behind Jake Pratt in the Second Round at the Pendleton Round-Up.
Afterward, the No. 6 cowboy in the world gave all of the credit to his horse.
“I rode a horse named Chua, my dad owns her, this is my second time riding her on the grass,” he said. “She takes good care of herself, I love her.”
