Ty Erickson moved up to No. 11 in the PRCA Steer Wrestling World Standings following his win in Puyallup and looks to be on his way to a seventh NFR in the last eight years.
Erickson was 7.5 seconds on two head and won the Short Round with an impressive 3.5-second run, which was the fastest time of the rodeo. Overall, he won $5,812 at the Washington State Fair Pro Rodeo.
“Most of what we do is horsepower,” he said. “Curtis Cassidy let our whole crew get on (his horse) Tyson and I was very thankful for that.”
