After winning the Long Round at the Ellensburg Xtreme Bulls Saturday night with 89 points, Braden Richardson needed 82 to win as the final cowboy out in the Short Go and he delivered with 84 points on Outlawbuckers Rodeo’s Wild Child.
“My hand was a little hung in the bull rope, but he gave me a second chance,” Richardson said.
For his win, Richardson earned a whopping $38,230 to shoot from No. 20 to No. 9 in the PRCA Bull Riding World Standings.
“It means everything because this is my favorite rodeo, hands down, since I was a rookie,” he said.
The 26-year-old is now in position to make his first career Wrangler NFR.
