The highest 22-year-old Kellan or his 20-year-old brother Carson have been ranked at the end of a season is No. 34, but now the sons of 2011 World Champion Jhett Johnson have an opportunity to follow in their father’s footsteps and make the Wrangler NFR.
Kellan (header) and Carson (heeler) have roped together all season and have both earned $41,825, which puts Carson No. 15 in the world and Kellan No. 16 in the world.
The pair got their marquee win in the middle of July when a 5.0-second run won them $12,500 in the finals of the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo. Just last week, they also won the Larimer County Fair in Loveland, Colorado.
