Cole Franks is currently leading the Resistol Rookie standings in the bareback and sitting No. 11 in the world standings.
This year he’s captured multiple big wins including a National Collegiate title while attending Clarendon College and setting a new arena record Dodge City Roundup Rodeo.
Before Dodge City, Franks placed second in Great Falls, Montana, he got a little bit of the money at the historic Cheyenne Frontier Days and made big moves at the Calgary Stampede getting a check in almost every round. He’s won Belle Fourche, South Dakota, placed at Rodeo of the Ozarks and won the first round of Reno Rodeo. He’s one you want to keep your eye on this fall!
Franks comes from a family of bronc riders. His father, Brett Franks, went to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo three times in the saddle bronc on top of being a successful college rodeo athlete. You could say that Cole Franks is filling a big pair of shoes, you could also say that he’s creating his own legacy.
