Ponoka Stampede Postponed

The Ponoka Stampede is one of the highest paying rodeos on the PRCA schedule, and usually takes place at the end of June into the first week of July, but with restrictions still in place the Ponoka Stampede has been postponed.

President of the Board of Directors, Bruce Hardman joined Western Sports Round-Up to talk about the decision to move the rodeo back.

“We elected to postpone our rode to a day where the restrictions are relaxed and God willing the American border be open for all cowboys to be able to compete and enter.”

New dates for the rodeo have not been announced as of today, but the board is hoping to have it at a time where there are no restrictions in Canada.
