It is a huge weekend in rodeo as the RAM National Circuit Finals and the San Angelo Rodeo kick-off. A change this season is all of the money earned at the circuit finals count towards the PRCA World Standings.
San Angelo is now underway after being delayed two months from its original date. There are two big changes for San Angelo, $120,000 was added to the pot bringing the total to over $560,000 and they will also plan to fill the arena. The first full performance will be on Friday, but the rodeo is underway already with barrel racing slack.
280 barrel racers showed up and it was Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi who posted the fastest time of the slack performance. She stopped the clock at 15.80 seconds and won over $5,000.
