Tim O’Connell has gone 94 points twice in his career, most recently at the 2021 Riggin Rally to take the top spot. The event is already a big one, but what made this a little more special for O’Connell was who was in attendance.
“I haven’t had my whole family with me since the 2019 NFR. My brother was there, he picked up on the first day and he had horses he was flanking on the second day. My dad was back there behind the chute, my mom, my wife, and my son were in the stands. You really can’t beat that to have your whole support system there to have a great weekend Bareback Riding.”
O’Connell had what may be the best horse across the rodeo world right now, Gunfire, in the finals and he took advantage. He would go 94.0 points to win the 2021 Riggin Rally and the $10,000 check that comes along with that.
