Tie-down roper Quade Hiatt moved from unranked to No. 40 in the world standings after he won $3,800 combined in Jackson, Mississippi and Perry, Georgia last week.
Hiatt was 7.3 to place second in the first round in Jackson and he was also second in the one-head in Perry by stopping the clock at 7.9.
“I knew he was a great calf, I just needed to see my start and go make the run,” he said of his run in Jackson.
