Bareback rider Orin Larsen had surgery on his riding elbow following the conclusion of the 2020 Wrangler NFR.

The Canadian cowboy is anticipating a return from having his elbow scoped in about two weeks and on Wednesday, he posted an update on Facebook sharing that he has been working with a chiropractor and acupuncture specialist in Nebraska.

That specialist helped him recover from surgery in addition to helping him prepare for the NFR.

"I think a lot of guys they kind of wait until after their career is over to make one big doctor's visit to get their elbow or knees or whatever have you done, but I've had complications with my elbow, ya know, from pretty much day one I started riding bareback horses," he said. "After the NFR, I kind of decided it was time."

Larsen is hoping to be back in action in Jackson, Mississippi.
