Catching up with Colten Fritzlan

Despite missing 30 days in the heat of the 2020 rodeo season, bull rider Colten Fritzlan still managed to bounce back and make the Wrangler NFR.

Not only did he make the NFR, but in Arlington the 21-year-old rode seven of his 10 bulls to win the average. In doing so, he climbed from 10th to second in the world standings and finished the season with $241,447. He was also the Resistol Rookie of the Year, beating his good friend Ky Hamilton by about $40,000.

We caught up with him recently and found out there is a lot more to him than a great bull rider.

Fritzlan and Justin McKee discussed how he got his start in the sport, how he uses horses to train, what it felt like to compete at the NFR as a rookie and more.
