Last season, 3X Bareback Riding World Champion Will Lowe started out the year with an unfortunate injury in Denver, where after looking strong in the semi-finals, he was knocked out in the finals — literally, taking a kick to the head from the powerhouse Virgil that resulted in a depressed orbital bone and 20 stitches.
While it wasn’t long before Lowe was back in the saddle, riding at the Super Series Finish at the end of May, where he won the Bracket 5 average.
Unfortunately he wasn’t able to make up enough for lost time, finishing No. 28 in the 2020 PRCA World Standings, thirteen spots shy of getting to the NFR.

But things seem to be looking up for Lowe in 2021. Hopefully, his recent win at the Sandhills Stock Show & Rodeo is indicative of a strong season for the 15X NFR qualifier, who rode Beutler & Son’s Buttercup for 85.5 points at the premiere ProRodeo Tour stop in Odessa to split first with Mike Solberg and add $3,338 to his earnings. Lowe is currently sitting No. 22 in the 2021 Standings.
