The emotion on Paden Bray’s face said it all after he took a victory lap in the first NFR performance of his career.

The 22-year-old hollered passionately at his partner Erich Rogers after the duo had a time of 4.8 seconds to win Round One in team roping.

BRAY/ROGERS ROUND ONE WIN

“It’ll dang sure give us more confidence, but what I feel confident about is we just made our run we didn’t do anything crazy,” Bray said. “Erich did a great job at the barrier and stuck him, and it wasn’t radical or out of control, and I feel like we can do that every time.”

Splitting second was Dustin Egusquiz/Travis Graves and Luke Brown/Joseph Harrison. Both were one-tenth off the round winners.
