Last year, Parker McCown won $72,543, more than any cowboy ever on a PRCA Permit. This year, he kept the momentum and qualified for his first Wrangler NFR at age 21.

McCown won $55,561 and finished No. 11 in the world bull riding standings after making a big move at the end of the season. In mid-September he had a much-needed 4-for-4 stretch that won him about $6,500.

Between July 8 and Sept. 7, McCown had just three qualified rides, didn’t win a single check and was 80 points or more just once.

Despite that cold stretch, don’t mistake McCown for someone who can make a move at the NFR. He showed up big at multiple Xtreme Bulls events and finished 8th on the X Bulls Tour while competing against the best cowboys and bulls the PRCA has to offer.

McCown notably had two 88-point rides at Texas X Bulls events early in the season. He conquered Hot Flash in the Long Round in San Angelo and was on Foolish And Cruel in Fort Worth.
