Chad Berger Talks Smooth Operator And What It’s Like To Watch All of His Bulls Buck

It was a year of records for Chad Berger Bucking Bulls. Berger was named PBR Stock Contractor of the Year for the 10th time and his bull Smooth Operator became the oldest bull to win a World Championship two years in a row.

“He (Smooth Operator) is such a special animal to my family and my partners,” Berger said. “He just has a heart of gold and he’s all heart. He just never gave up and he just went to the PBR Finals and did what he had to do overcome Chiseled.”

Smooth Operator is a 10-year-old bull, which Berger compared to a 70-year-old NFL quarterback.

Berger also discussed several of his other bulls including I’m Busted, Stretch and Safety Meeting.

“To me they’re just like my kids, I fall in love with these animals and watching them compete and do as good as they do, it just excites me a lot,” he said. “I’m like a kid in the candy store when my bulls are bucking.”
