Christy Bridges joined Western Sports Roundup to discuss how much Jackie Crawford helped her career, how she fell in love with roping, why she spent eight years away from the sport and more.
“God gave me this ability to rope no matter my circumstances,” she said. “When they said I couldn’t drive more, I said ‘well, you can take my license but you can’t take my rope,’ so I picked it back up.”
Bridges is preparing to rope at the Women’s Rodeo World Championship, which begins Wednesday, Nov. 8. The total payout for the event is $750,000.
