Most memorable moments of 2020: The inaugural Gold Buckle Knockout

The 2020 rodeo season brought new traditions to ProRodeo, including the inaugural Gold Buckle Knockout at the Cervi Ranch.

The standalone event on Sept. 30, the last day of the regular season, saw the Top 20 bareback and saddle bronc riders battle for tens of thousands of dollars, and the final spots in the Wrangler NFR.

The idea was hatched and put together all in a matter of weeks thanks to Justin Rumford, Chase Cervi Binion Cervi and many more.

At the event, Chad Rutherford famously clinched his first NFR berth after an 88-point ride in the Long Round.
