Turning in a time of 15.97 - the fastest of the rodeo - Ryann Pedone won the ProRodeo Tour Finale finals in Rapid City on Saturday night, and it was a win that was greatly needed.
Sitting No. 16 in the WPRA World Standings going into the finale, the win secured Pedone a spot at her first Wrangler NFR.
In her post interview with Amy Wilson, Pedone was overcome with emotion, expressing her gratitude to all of the people who helped her realize a longtime dream, in particular her horse, Stinger.
“I owe so many a big thank you, yah know,” Pedone says. “There’s just so many people, and so many people said nice things to me... and that horse, I love that horse.”
