Rocker Steiner comes from a rodeo family. His grandfather, Bobby Steiner, is a world champion bull rider, and his father, Sid Steiner, won the Steer Wrestling World Champion title in 2002. But no one ever expected Rocker to get into rodeo. In fact, wake boarding was the sport he took to at a young age.

At just 3 years old, Rocker got on his first board. At age 8, he did his first flip. And the following year, he won the 10-and-under world title.

But one day, his grandfather suggested trying Rocker out on a bucking horse, and as Sid says, “it’s been a project ever since.”

Now at just 16, Rocker is a rising star in the bareback world. “I want to be a world champion like my grandfather and dad,” he says. “I wouldn’t be where I am without them. I appreciate that more than they’ll ever know.”

His family couldn’t be more proud — and confident that Rocker will get his own gold buckle one day.

“You know, when you name a kid, you never really know what you’re going to get,” says Sid. “Rocker, he could have been laidback, but honestly, he’s been like a little rockstar from the time he’s been able to walk.”
