This Labor Day weekend, the best in bareback riding will congregate in Darby, Montana, to face off at the Yellowstone Riggin Rally.
This $30,000, one-day event will pit the top 24 bareback riders in the PRCA | RAM World Standings in a long-go and short-go format tomorrow, Monday, September 7, giving competitors the chance to compete where some of the popular Paramount show is filmed.
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” PRCA CEO George Taylor said. “These cowboys get to perform for the cast and crew of one of TV’s most popular shows, while in turn having a chance to make significant strides in qualifying for the Wrangler NFR.”
With only three weeks remaining in the regular season following the Yellowstone Riggin Rally, the event is a huge opportunity for bareback riders trying to make this year’s Finals.
“This is such a cool deal for everyone involved,” said 2002 PRCA Steer Wrestling World Champion Sid Steiner, who is helping put on the Rally. “I’m excited to be a part of it and really honored to have had the chance to help put this together.”
The Yellowstone Riggin Rally will premiere on The Cowboy Channel, Sept. 13 at 1PM ET, re-airing on The Cowboy Channel and RFD-TV at 7PM and on The Cowboy Channel September 14 at 8PM ET. It will also stream live on the PRCA on Cowboy Channel Plus App, following which it will be available to watch anytime on-demand.
The Cowboy Channel will be on site Monday covering the event live on social media! Follow along with us on Facebook and Instagram.
