Team roper Charly Crawford says he almost did not rodeo this year.
The nine-time NFR qualifier has a wife and kids at home and says the road has been getting harder. However, he has decided to take another run at the National Finals with his partner Logan Medlin.
“I always swore I’d never let rodeo effect being a dad and a husband so I told Logan (Medlin), if you still wanted to rope, let’s go through this winter and see how it goes and if we’re in a good spot, I’ll chase it,” Crawford said. “It’s meaningful to me to get to rope with Logan at the end of mine, and the start of of his career.”
Crawford is currently No. 4 in the heading world standings and Medlin is No. 3 in the heeling world standings.
