Traveling and team roping partners Shad Mayfield and Garrett Busby are on a mission — to get Mayfield at least $3,000 won in the team roping so that he has a shot at the All-Around title.
Currently No. 1 in the tie-down roping by nearly $90,000, Mayfield, if able to qualify, will automatically take the lead in the All-Around race and be hard to catch.
The tie-down ropers turned team ropers talked to us from the road after their run at Kansas’ Largest Night Rodeo, where they had the fastest time on day one and now currently sit in fifth.
