The opening night of competition at the Woodward Elks Rodeo is sure not to disappoint with some of the best cowboys and cowgirls in the world set to compete. Up in Perf 1 are the likes of Orin Larsen, Caleb Bennett, Richmond Champion, Stetson Vest, Chance Oftedahl, Ky Hamilton, Shali Lord, Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi, Garrett Tonozzi, Buddy Hawkins II — and that doesn’t even include the saddle bronc riders.
The event to watch on Wednesday night, the saddle bronc riding is stacked with big names. All 12 bronc riders on the lineup are in the top 50 in the PRCA | RAM World Standings, five from the top 15. The three currently sitting at 16, 17, 18 will be there too, with just a couple thousand dollars separating them from those currently in NFR contention — which means this rodeo is sure to shake up the standings.
Ones to watch in the bronc riding: Wyatt Casper and Brody Cress (No. 1 and 2), who both had strong starts to the year with Cress taking the championship titles in both San Antonio and Denver and Casper winning the big check at RFD-TV’s The American and a buck off percentage of zero. Then there’s 6X NFR qualifiers Issac Diaz and Cort Scheer, South Dakotan young gun Shorty Garrett, Colt Gordon, who won the average in his bracket at the Super Series Finish, and rookie cousins Riggin and Tegan Smith — the list goes on and on.
Don’t miss these star athletes compete tonight in Woodward! We are bringing the action to you LIVE on both The Cowboy Channel and the PRCA on The Cowboy Channel+ App, and it all kicks off at 9PM ET. For a full Woodward Elks Rodeo programming schedule, click here.
