By 2017, at 27 years old, Tuf Cooper had long been tie-down roping force to be reckoned with, having already qualified for the NFR eight times and won 3 world titles.
Following a great season, he had a slow start to his 2017 NFR performance, but in Round 5 Tuf turned in an impressive time of just 7.1 seconds.
Another tie-down roper managed to be one-tenth of a second faster that night, winning the round and putting him in second, but Tuf iwent on to take his fourth World title and first All-Around Cowboy title that year.
Relive Tuf and all of the 2017 NFR competitors fighting for gold buckles during the ProRodeo 40 Nights of NFR, airing every night at 8:00 PM ET.
