6X World Champion Bull Rider Sage Kimzey was injured at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo when a bull fell and came down on his left leg, and as a result, had to have ankle surgery.

But he made a quick return to compete at RodeoHouston and RFD-TV's The American — where it was obvious Kimzey was not back to 100 percent. After every ride in both Houston and Arlington, he limped back to the chutes.

Now, the champion bull rider says he's putting on the brakes and taking the time he needs to heal.

PRCA's ProRodeo.com recently updated us on KImzey, and Steve Kenyon shares the official injury report.

Steve also points out that if there's a silver lining to the many rodeo cancellations and postponements due to coronavirus, it's that guys dealing with injuries, like Sage and Stetson Wright, will have the time necessary to make full recoveries.
