A Look Back at the Kick Off at Cavender’s

Leading up to RFD-TV’s The American this past weekend, Cavender’s held a kick-off party at their flagship store in the Fort Worth Stockyards.

Partnering with other American sponsors and bestselling brands such as Resistol, the Official Hat of The American, Hooey, and Yeti, Cavender’s hosted an evening to remember featuring gourmet food and drinks, autograph signings with top athletes, and displays stocked with the latest in Western fashion. Charlie 1 Horse, J. Forks Designs, and Hooey were even on hand holding trunk shows of their latest releases.

After doing a little shopping of her own, Western lifestyle reporter Kirbe Schnoor met up with Clay Cavender to talk about the store’s history with The American.

“Anytime you can support rodeo and the athletes that participate in rodeo, it’s just a win-win for our business and the vendors we do business with — Resistol, Wrangler, and others,” said Cavender. “It’s just a natural partnership for us, and we love to support it. These guys and girls that are in rodeo, they’re salt of the earth people. They don’t make absorbent salaries and things. It makes you feel good to help people that are supporting our brands… It’s a good partnership.”
