Saddle bronc rider Brody Cress talks to Amy Wilson about the San Antonio tournament style format, the rough stock draw, and what he did differently in his fourth matchup with Frontier Rodeo’s Stampede Warrior to win the title, as well as his strong start to the year at the winter rodeos.
“This is the first year I’ve made it past the first set of horses here,” he says. “but it’s awesome. I’ve jumped out, and I’ve had some success — I think I’ve won checks at almost all of the rodeos I’ve gone to in the winter. It kinda seems like you either have a good winter where you win money or you have a terrible winter where nothing goes right. So, I’m glad it’s moving in the right direction right now.”
