World Champion saddle bronc rider Spencer Wright placed first in the wild card round last night at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, and he will now move on to the semi-finals.
For the wild card, Spencer pulled a Rafter G Rodeo horse that his nephew Stetson Wright had ridden earlier in the week with some success. “I was pretty excited to have him,” Spencer says. “It was a little harder than I thought it would be, but it worked out.”
When asked about getting to ride with brothers Cody and Jesse, as well as nephews Rusty, Ryder, and Stetson at Madison Square Garden during Rodeo New York in June 2020, Spencer says, “Competing with family — you can’t beat it.”
