Saturday’s afternoon performance marked the second round for Bracket 5 at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, determining who from each event will move on to compete in the semi-finals.
Four contestants earned more than $3,000 overall, putting them among the athletes headed to the semis. Jimmie Smith picked up two checks for her first and second place runs, bringing her total to $3,080 and earning her the win in the barrel racing. In the team roping, Kaleb Driggers and Junior Nogueira topped the leaderboard with $3,080 each. But the highest earner in Bracket 5 was bull rider Jeff Askey. Askey was one of competitors to last 8 seconds in each round, and he got extra money for the effort. He moves to the semi-finals with $3,960 in his pocket.
Saturday night, the FWSSR ProRodeo Tour continued with the first performance of Bracket 6. The second performance will be broadcast LIVE today (Sunday, February 2) at 3:00 PM EST.
