Stock contractor Jim Gay Give his Take on the Rodeo Action at Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo Thus Far

“We’ve had some outstanding livestock here [at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo],” says Jim Gay, general manager for the Rafter G Rodeo company. “We’ve had the Bucking Horse of the Year here. His name’s Get Smart, from Canada, and first appearance for here in Dickies Arena, he did his job. The cowboy didn’t live up to billing, but that happens sometimes. But overall, it’s been very good, very exciting. I’m pleased with the outcome so far, but we have long way to go.”

The Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo ProRodeo Tournament continues with daily performances leading up to finals Sunday at Dickies Arena on February 8.

Rafter G Rodeo has a bucking bull sale on February 4 at Will Rogers Coliseum, where the company will be bucking 120 bulls. “There will be a lot of outstanding bull there,” Gay assures. “It’s going to be exciting.”
