Sage Kimzey is the one to beat when it comes to bull riding. He’s the current and six-time world champion, having earned the highest yearly total in prize money for the last six consecutive seasons.
The Xtreme Bulls Tour has played a large role in getting him to the top. Money earned at each stop on the Xtreme Bulls Tour counting towards the PRCA World Standings, and Kimzey has won eight X Bulls Division 1 events and four Xtreme Bulls Tour titles throughout his career.
“The X Bulls are really important to the world standings, NFR, everything,” Kimzey tells ProRodeo.com. “They are premier events, so to speak, besides the major rodeos. To have some success at the Xtreme Bulls helps everything, not only the bank account, but also the standings.”
Watch Kimzey as he kicks off the 2020 Xtreme Bulls Tour tonight in Fort Worth, Texas — where he and 39 of his fellow bull riders will go up against some of the rankest bulls from across the country at Dickies Arena. It’s the premiere event of the year and sets the pace for the season.
We’re bringing you both nights of the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo‘s Xtreme Bulls event live on The Cowboy Channel, January 21 and 22, at 8:30 PM EST.
