Stetson Jorgensen rises to No. 4 in PRCA Steer Wrestling World Standings

Since the beginning of The Calgary Stampede on July 9, steer wrestler Stetson Jorgensen has won around $20,000 total and has climbed all the way up to No. 4 in the PRCA World Standings with $69,394.

He has really been on fire over the last two weeks. Since July 28, Jorgensen has won four rodeos and earned about $10,000 for those wins. All of his first-place runs have been 3.5 seconds or faster.

In just the last week or so, Jorgensen has won Bozeman Stampede and the Mountain Valley Stampede in Utah. That same week, he also won more than $2,500 for winning a round in Dodge City. Jorgensen also won the Famous Preston Night Rodeo (Idaho) and Nebraska’s Big Rodeo the week prior.

So far this season, the reigning Reserve World Champion has eight runs of 3.7 seconds or faster, which is more than he had in the three previous seasons combined. Jorgensen also has a career-high 26 runs of 4.2 seconds or faster.
