Steer Wrestler Tristan Martin Set To Make His Second Trip To The NFR

Tristan Martin stayed consistent through the 2022 season and has secured his second National Finals Rodeo qualification.

Martin hit the ground running after a big win at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo and has found himself sitting at No. 7 in the PRCA World Standings with a total of $104,553 in earnings for the regular season.

The cowboy made his debut at the Thomas & Mack in 2021 where he finished fifth in the World Standings and now his sights set on a World Title.

BIGGEST PAYDAY

Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, $24,260

Martin kicked off his 2022 season with a big win in Fort Worth where he tied with 2021 NFR Average Champion Will Lummus for second place in the Semifinals and cinched the fastest run of the Final Round with 3.9 seconds finish out the Rodeo with a total of $24,260.

FASTEST TIMES

Farm-City Pro Rodeo, 3.4 seconds

The Farm-City Pro Rodeo was a great success for Martin as he took first place in both Round 1 and 2 to take home the Championship Title as well as a check for $9,999.

A 3.6-second run earned him the top spot in Round 1 while a 3.4-second run, the fastest of Martin’s 2022 regular season, secured him the win in Round 2 to take the lead in the Average.

Horse Heaven Roundup Rodeo, 3.6 seconds

A 3.6-second run in Round 1 of the Horse Heaven Roundup Rodeo gave Martin the advantage he needed as he finished out the event in the No. 1 spot for the average.

Martin secured a check for just over $9,400 in Kennewick, Washington.

NOTABLE WIN

Guymon Pioneer Days Rodeo, 11.6 Seconds on Three

Martin won multiple notable rodeos this season including the Guymon Pioneer Days Rodeo in Oklahoma where he took home the Championship Title with an aggregate time of 11.6 seconds on three-head, earning a check for $5,881.
