Pete Hawkins is no stranger to big, competitive rodeos and he said you could feel the excitement in the arena when several NFR qualifier advanced to the Finals of the second annual Riggin’ Rally at the Steiner Ranch.
“It was intense, when those bucking horses come in there and their pawing, they’re tying them in and the guys are back there sweating and jumping up and down, you can feel the intensity behind the bucking chutes,” he said.
With some of the top stock there alongside the top cowboys, six of the 12 bareback riders were marked 89 points or more in the Short Round.
