Shorty Garrett Matches Up With Corey & Lange Rodeo’s Buckaroo To Lead Ellensburg

South Dakota’s Shorty Garrett currently sits No. 20 in the World and a win at Ellensburg would be just what he needs. On Night No. 1 he went 83.5 points on Corey & Lange Rodeo’s Buckaroo to lead the rodeo.

“I don’t know why I didn’t know that horse coming into it then I just kind of looked it up, watched some videos of it and looked like a pretty good shot to get another one here so hopefully it’ll hold,” Garrett said.

With the pressure on to make it into that Top 15, Garrett’s mentality is simple.

“We’re going to stay positive, hopefully stay healthy and keep going... Just act like we already got it made,” he said.

With two performances left, Garrett will have to wait and see if his 83.5 will be enough.
