Shelley Morgan and Kiss Take Two San Antonio Go-Round Wins to be Semifinals Bound

Shelley Morgan and Kiss laid down the fastest run of San Antonio to kick it off

Shelley Morgan was back on the mare we all know and love, Kiss, when she flew into Frost Bank Center in San Antonio. The duo claimed two of the three Go-Rounds while placing second in the other to bring their total to $7,000 to be the No. 1 cowgirl in Bracket 1.

“She is so much fun. I just send her, I actually lengthened my reins today because I was like ‘I need to just let this girl do her thing’ and she did,” Morgan said.

A solid three rounds have Morgan ready to roll into the Semifinals.

Rolling into the Semifinals along with Morgan are three more ladies that everyone knows. Fan favorites, Dona Kay Rule and Valor, claimed Round 2 with the second fastest time of the rodeo, 13.83 seconds. Smooth is fast with these two and when they are on, you can expect quick times.

The No. 3 cowgirl is Ashley Castleberry. After a tremendous trip to Fort Worth on Skyy Blu, Castleberry continues to impress. The duo placed inside the Top 3 in every round of their bracket in San Antonio to earn $3,500.

Emily Beisel is the fourth and final barrel racer to advance from Bracket 1. A piece of two Go-Rounds came her way. She rode her rising superstar Liza and it was $2,500 that got them into the Semifinals.

With three brackets remaining, the Semifinals will become packed with the best in San Antonio and on Feb. 22-23, the Frost Bank Center will bring you the finest Semifinals Rounds. You can catch the Semifinals and every performance from San Antonio on The Cowboy Channel and Cowboy Channel+.
