Shad Mayfield’s Dominant San Antonio Continues after Semifinals Win

Mayfield has turned in four times of 8 flat or faster and is showing no signs of slowing down despite injury

Shad Mayfield has been nearly perfect in his four runs in San Antonio. In Bracket 5, Mayfield won two rounds and placed second in the third leading him to be the top qualifier out of the bracket.

The domination continued in Thursday’s Semifinals where Mayfield went 7.7 seconds to get another round win, bringing his earnings to over $11,000 already. Mayfield has been battling injury, but you would not know that by his results.

“I feel like this is my year for a lot of things. I needed to have hip surgery after Houston and I woke up one day and God told me I needed to finish out this year.”

Kincade Henry and Tom Crouse each earned $7,500 while Luke Potter and Blane Cox are both at $5,000 heading to the Finals in San Antonio.

The five that didn’t advance to the Finals in Semifinal 1 head to the Wildcard Round on Saturday afternoon.
