Sage Newman Jumps to No. 1 At The Pendleton Roundup

Sitting at No. 1 in the PRCA World Standings, Sage Newman is on the fast track to qualifying for his second National Finals Rodeo and has just jumped to the top of the leaderboard at the Pendleton Roundup with an 88.5-point ride on Calgary Stampede’s Birch Bubbles.

“Everything seems to buck on this grass, and she had a good day and I had a good day also so it all worked out,” Newman said.

As the regular season quickly comes to an end, the iconic Pendleton Roundup is a make-or-break situation for many contestants however, as Newman occupies the No. 1 spot with nearly $250,000 in earnings the cowboy is sitting in a solid position to finish out his season strong.
