Garrett Elmore might be a PRCA Rookie Tie-Down Roper but he is a rodeo veteran who is no stranger to success. That success came his way in the Black Hills when he found himself at the pay window at Rodeo Rapid City making him your Resistol Rookie of the Week.

Elmore missed being the Rodeo Rapid City Tie-Down Roping Champion by just one tenth of a second. He stopped the clock at 8.5 seconds and it still proved to be a $4,230 run.

He is picking up steam as the season rolls on with paydays and momentum coming his way after both the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo and Rodeo Rapid City. Elmore knows the name of the game as he is the International Professional Rodeo Association’s 2021 Rookie of the Year along with their 2022 All-Around and Tie-Down Roping World Champion.

The Oklahoma cowboy is currently No. 11 in the PRCA Tie-Down Roping World Standings and with an All-Around background like his, we can expect big things from Elmore this 2024 season.
