Lisa Lockhart won both the Long Round and the Shootout in the barrel racing at the American Rodeo in 2014 and she also had the two fastest times of the whole rodeo.
At the bottom of the ground in the Long Go, she was 13.983, the only sub-14 run of the weekend.
In the Shootout, all she had to do was make a businesswoman run after the three cowgirls in front of her tipped a barrel. She did that and more by recording the second-fastest time at AT&T Stadium by stopping the clock at 14.035 seconds.
“It’s a life-changing experience,” a visibly emotional Lockhart said afterward. “There’s a lot of people behind what happened today, so thank you to all of you who made this all possible.”
