Jordon Briggs had to turn out of San Antonio last year due to injury and in 2022, she showed up as the reigning World Champion and won Bracket 4, Round 1 on Thursday night.
Briggs stopped the clock at 14.21 seconds to beat the rest of the field by at least one tenth of a second.
“This place is scary and loud, I think this was harder to keep (Rollo’s) attention and focus than the NFR,” she said. “It’s a lot of pressure now, after last year.....I’m so happy to be here and we’ll just keep riding on this confidence from tonight.”
Briggs and the rest of Bracket 4 will compete two more times, Friday at 8 PM ET and Saturday at 1 PM ET. You can watch both performances on The Cowboy Channel or The Cowboy Channel+ App.
