It should come as no surprise that the Heeler side of things in Team Roping is nearly as close as the Header side. As we stand on August 11, Levi Lord is your No. 1 Heeler in the World with $123,093 in season earnings. He holds a narrow $9,000 lead over 2022 World Champion Junior Nogueira,

Here is a look at some of the top competitors and biggest movers of the last couple of weeks.

No. 1 Levi Lord, $123,093

Levi Lord is showing why he is No. 1 in the World Standings. Since July 29 he has five checks of $1,400 or more. The run started with a fourth-place finish at the Days of ’76 rodeo where he won just over $1,400. Lord would then place fifth in the average at Dodge City. He also won the opening round with a 5.0-second run. In total, he won over $6,000 in Dodge City. Lord’s next stop was at Kansas’ Biggest Rodeo where he placed third for an additional $2,637. His final big payday came at the Larimer County Fair and Rodeo where he and partner Dustin Egusquiza went 3.5 seconds for the win and a $3,000 check.

No. 7 Paul Eaves, $83,405

Eaves continues to climb the standings thanks to big paydays rather than consistent ones. Going back to the end of July, Eaves got one of his bigger paychecks of the season at the California Rodeo Salinas where he placed second in the average to earn a check of $6,500. He started the month of August hot with a third-place finish at the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo. The top 3 placement earned him $3,000. His most recent check came at the Lawton Rangers Rodeo where he took first and earned a check of $1,800.
