No. 12 Bareback Rider Leighton Berry Leads Cinch Playoffs After First Performance

Leighton Berry got out to the early lead at the Cinch Playoffs in Puyallup, Washington with 88 points aboard Calgary Stampede’s Cinchy Whitney.

“That’s an amazing horse, young one, just kind of came around this year, I’d heard really good things,” Berry said.

Will Lowe was the only other cowboy marked above 85 points with 85.5 on Choke Cherry.

The same 12 bareback riders will compete again Friday night and then a new 12 will compete twice on Saturday. The Top 8 on a two-head Average will advance to Sunday.

You can watch all four of the remaining performances live on The Cowboy Channel and PRCA on Cowboy Channel+.

Professional rodeo action consists of two types of competitions - roughstock events and timed events - and an all-around cowboy crown.
